Base44 is the entire practice. We work on it daily across SaaS, marketplace, internal-tool, and startup contexts. The patterns and edge cases — credit-burn loops, RLS misconfiguration, AI-agent regression cycles, webhook reliability — are not new to us.

Fixed-price
Every engagement is scoped and quoted in writing before we start: audits at $497, fix sprints at $1,500, multi-bug rescues at $3,000, builds from $4,500, migrations from $6,000. Fixed-price by default; hourly only for due-diligence/legal advisory at $300/h (4-hour minimum). No hourly creep, no surprise invoices.

Bylined
Real engineers attach their name to deliverables. You get a written summary on every fix that names the root cause, the change, and the verification steps. We do not hide behind “the team did it.”

Guarantees, in writing
Fix sprints: money-back if the sprint cannot resolve the issue, including a Base44 platform bug with no workaround. If a Base44 update breaks the fix within 90 days, we re-fix it at no charge. Multi-bug rescues: any agreed defect we cannot resolve is refunded pro rata. Every fix carries the 90-day fix hold. Builds and migrations carry a 30-day defects warranty.

Reproduce before we repair
Nothing ships without a written 100% reproduction recipe. Vibe-fixing — patching code without understanding the failure — is the source of most regressions on base44 and we refuse to do it.

If base44 cannot do what you need, we tell you. The /migrate practice exists precisely so we can recommend leaving the platform when it is the right call — without it being a conflict of interest.

Diagnostic audits ($497, delivered one business day after access), bug-fix sprints ($1,500; starts within 48 hours, ships 48–72 hours after kickoff; money-back), multi-bug rescues ($3,000, 1–2 weeks, pro-rata refund per unresolved defect). 47 documented playbooks across auth, security, data, credits, AI agent, integrations.
Build
Done-for-you base44 builds at three depths. MVP: $4,500 in 2–4 weeks — auth, one core workflow, one Stripe Checkout path. Standard: $9,000 in 4–6 weeks — multi-role auth, Stripe subscriptions with verified webhooks, observability. Premium: $15,000 in 6–10 weeks — custom integrations, UX pass, migration plan. Code export, README, 30-day defects warranty.
Migrate

Open-ended hourly work, or a retainer before a first engagement
Hourly billing creates the wrong incentives, so the only hourly work is due-diligence and legal advisory. Retainers start only after a first fixed-price engagement, so we both know the work shape.

Net-new platform development outside base44
We do not build greenfield Next.js / Rails / Django apps from scratch. The /migrate practice ships Next.js + Supabase only because it is the off-ramp from base44, not because we are a generalist Next.js shop.
NO. 03
Marketing automation, content writing, or SEO consulting separate from base44
We are an engineering-only agency — no bundled marketing, content or SEO services. The deliverables are engineering deliverables only.
NO. 04
Penetration testing of the base44 platform itself
Platform-side security is the responsibility of base44 / Wix. We test what your app exposes — RLS rules, auth surface, token handling, integration security — not the platform’s internals.

Q.03Is Base44Devs a Base44 partner?
No. An independent services firm focused exclusively on base44 — not affiliated with Base44 or Wix. We are not a Base44 partner, reseller or affiliate, and there is no commercial relationship with Wix. That independence is what lets us recommend migration when staying on the platform is the wrong call.
Q.04Where is Base44Devs based?
Remote-only and global; there is no office to visit. Response hours are 9am–6pm Eastern, Monday to Friday, and cutover-sensitive work is scheduled in your time zone. Engagements are scoped over a free 15-minute call.
Q.05How do engagements actually start?
Two ways. Order a $497 audit, delivered one business day after access. Or book a call: free 15-minute call with the engineer who would lead the work. Written fixed-price proposal within one business day. The $497 fee is credited in full against any fix, build, migration or written-recommendation engagement booked within 30 days. If you ordered the audit for a specific bug and we cannot reproduce it, we refund the fee; otherwise it is non-refundable.
Q.06Do you take on retainers or only fixed-price work?
Fixed scope first; retainers only after a first engagement. The care plan is $2,000/month: priority on the urgent slots, a monthly regression check after Base44 updates, Slack triage and up to 10 senior hours. The embedded senior is $4,000–$8,000/month for a dedicated 20–40 hours a month. Most teams need a single sprint or build, not an open-ended monthly contract, which is why we do not lead with a retainer.
