00 /ABOUT
A specialist team focused entirely on base44.
Base44Devs is the firm you call when your base44 app is broken, when you need a senior engineer to ship one for you, or when you have outgrown the platform and need a clean exit. Bylined senior engineers, fixed-price scopes, written summaries on every engagement.
Short answer
Last reviewed · 2026-05-02
Base44Devs is a specialist engineering practice focused exclusively on the base44 platform (acquired by Wix in 2025). The team has shipped or debugged 100+ base44 apps in production across SaaS, marketplace, internal-tool, and startup contexts. Engagements are fixed-price only at four productized service lines: $497 audits (1 business day), $1,500-$3,000 fix sprints (money-back if unresolved), $4,500-$15,000 builds (with code export and 30-day defects warranty), and $6,000-$25,000+ migrations to Next.js + Supabase. Every engagement ships with reproduction steps for every defect, a prioritised remediation plan, and a written summary naming root cause and change.
01 /OPERATING PRINCIPLES
How we work, in six principles.
The principles are operational, not aspirational — every engagement is auditable against them, and we lose money on the ones we get wrong.
01
Specialists
Base44 is the entire practice. We work on it daily across SaaS, marketplace, internal-tool, and startup contexts. The patterns and edge cases — credit-burn loops, RLS misconfiguration, AI-agent regression cycles, webhook reliability — are not new to us.
02
Fixed-price
Every engagement is scoped and quoted before we start. Audits at $497, sprints at $1,500, multi-bug rescues at $3,000, builds from $4,500, migrations from $6,000. No hourly creep, no surprise invoices, no padding.
03
Bylined
Real engineers attach their name to deliverables. You get a written summary on every fix that names the root cause, the change, and the verification steps. We do not hide behind "the team did it."
04
Money-back where we promise it
Bug-fix sprints carry a money-back guarantee: if the issue cannot be resolved, we refund the sprint fee. The audit is credited against any subsequent fix or build engagement within 30 days.
05
Reproduce before we repair
Nothing ships without a written 100% reproduction recipe. Vibe-fixing — patching code without understanding the failure — is the source of most regressions on base44 and we refuse to do it.
06
Honest off-ramp
If base44 cannot do what you need, we tell you. The /migrate practice exists precisely so we can recommend leaving the platform when it is the right call — without it being a conflict of interest.
02 /WHAT WE DO
Four service lines. All fixed-price. All bylined.
The shape of every engagement is published before you contact us. Pricing, scope, deliverables, and out-of-scope items are on each service page.
Fix
Diagnostic audits ($497, 1 business day), bug-fix sprints ($1,500, 48-72 hours, money-back), complex multi-bug rescues ($3,000, 1-2 weeks). 29 documented playbooks across auth, security, data, credits, AI agent, integrations.
Build
Done-for-you base44 builds at three depths — MVP ($4,500, 2-4 weeks), Standard ($9,000, 4-6 weeks, multi-role auth + Stripe + webhooks + observability), Premium ($15,000, 6-10 weeks, custom integrations + UX pass + migration plan baked in). Code export, README, 30-day defects warranty.
Migrate
Specialist migrations off base44, default target Next.js + Supabase on Vercel. Small ($6,000, 2-3 weeks), Medium ($12,000, 4-5 weeks), Enterprise ($25,000+). Zero data loss, typical cutover downtime under 5 minutes.
Audit
Productized $497 production audit covering 12 components and 110 individual checks across architecture, security, performance, credit-burn, Stripe, and SEO. Delivered as a written PDF report inside one business day.
03 /WHAT WE DO NOT DO
Honest scope: four things we say no to.
The clearer we are about what we will not take on, the better the engagements we do take on. If you need any of these, we will recommend a firm that does it.
NO. 01
Hourly retainers without a defined scope
Hourly billing creates the wrong incentives. Every retainer we offer is gated on a successful first fixed-price engagement so we both know the work shape.
NO. 02
Net-new platform development outside base44
We do not build greenfield Next.js / Rails / Django apps from scratch. The /migrate practice ships Next.js + Supabase only because it is the off-ramp from base44, not because we are a generalist Next.js shop.
NO. 03
Marketing automation, content writing, or SEO consulting separate from base44
We are not an agency in the bundled-services sense. The deliverables are engineering deliverables only.
NO. 04
Penetration testing of the base44 platform itself
Platform-side security is the responsibility of base44 / Wix. We test what your app exposes — RLS rules, auth surface, token handling, integration security — not the platform’s internals.
04 /FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Q.01Who runs Base44Devs?
Base44Devs is run as a specialist team. Engagements are bylined — every fix summary, build handoff, and audit report names the senior engineer who did the work — but the firm presents as a team rather than a single founder. The persona is "Lead Engineer at Base44Devs" on every shipped artifact.
Q.02How many base44 apps have you shipped or debugged?
More than 100 in production across SaaS, marketplace, internal-tool, and startup contexts. The /fix index documents 29 distinct failure categories we have reproduced and remediated.
Q.03Where are you based?
Remote-only and global. We work in your time zone for cutover-sensitive work and during business hours overlap for everything else. There is no office to visit; engagements are scoped over a free 15-minute call.
Q.04How do engagements actually start?
Either: (a) order a $497 audit and we begin within one business day, or (b) book a free 15-minute call, scope the work, receive a fixed-price proposal, and decide. We do not bill for the conversation.
Q.05What is your relationship to base44 / Wix?
Independent. We are not a base44 partner, reseller, or affiliate; there is no commercial relationship with Wix. The independence is what lets us recommend migration when staying on the platform is the wrong call.
Q.06Do you take on retainers or only fixed-price work?
Fixed-price first, retainers second. After a successful first fixed-price engagement we offer optional retainers ($2,000-$8,000 per month depending on volume) for ongoing fix and feature work. We do not lead with retainer because the right answer for most teams is a single sprint or build, not an open-ended monthly contract.
